A black-and-white guide to how to size your belt for the best fit.
  • How do belt sizes work?

Belt sizes are generally 1 size up from your normal pant size, but please use above sizing guide to determine your accurate belt size. Each belt comes with 5-7 adjustment holes for a flexible fit.

  • do you take custom orders?

Yes! I love working on custom projects. Whether you have something specific in mind or just a general idea, I’m happy to collaborate to create something personal and one-of-a-kind. Custom work is available on a limited basis depending on my production schedule, so feel free to reach out through the contact page and we can start a conversation.

  • Do you offer repairs or alterations?

I do offer repairs on most Studio Sanguis items. If something breaks or wears in a way you’re unsure about, reach out with a few photos and a description of the issue. I’ll let you know what’s possible and walk you through the next steps. Alterations may be made on a case-by-case basis. Email me at studio.sanguis@gmail.com with your order number and requested alteration. I’ll provide an estimate (usually $30-$50 depending on the piece) and instructions from there.

  • Can I return or exchange my order?

All sales are final. Due to the small-scale, made-by-hand nature of my work, I’m not able to offer returns or exchanges at this time. If you have any questions before placing your order, feel free to reach out - I’m happy to help with sizing or product details, and I’ll always do my best to make sure you’re happy with the result!

  • How long will my order take to ship?

In-stock items usually ship within 3–5 business days. Made-to-order pieces can take 2–4 weeks, depending on the design. Each product listing includes a shipping estimate, and I’ll be in touch if any delays come up.

  • How should I care for my leather piece?

Leather will last for years with just a little care. Keep your piece away from excess water or prolonged sun exposure, and avoid storing it in plastic. I recommend conditioning it occasionally with a natural leather balm or oil to keep it supple and prevent cracking. I include basic care instructions with every order, and I’m always happy to answer questions.

  • Will the leather change over time?

Yes—and that’s part of the beauty. Natural leather develops a patina over time, softening and darkening with age and wear. It will take on marks and character that reflect how you use it, making each piece more personal the longer you have it.

  • Do you ship internationally?

Yes, I ship worldwide. Shipping rates and delivery times are calculated at checkout based on your location. Please note that international orders may be subject to customs fees or import taxes—these aren’t included in the shipping cost and are the responsibility of the buyer.

  • Where are your pieces made, and what materials do you use?

All Studio Sanguis pieces are hand-dyed, cut, and stitched in Brooklyn, NY by Mira O’Keeffe Manon Moore. I primarily use vegetable-tanned leathers, chosen for their quality, durability, and character. Each hide is selected with care - no two are exactly alike - and every piece is made start to finish in my studio using traditional leatherworking tools and techniques.
